Welcome to 9th Grade
         Pre-AP Physical Science!

 

     
Physical Science introduces the fundamentals of physics and chemistry.  The topics we will explore this year include scientific skills, laboratory safety, measurement, atomic structure, the periodic table, reactions (chemical, physical, nuclear), types of compounds and their uses, forms of energy (heat, light, sound, mechanical, electricity, and magnetism), force, motion, friction, and gravity.  Most of our class resources are found in Google Classroom, but a list of helpful links for extra study can be found here.

Remember, Accelerated and Gifted and Talented students must maintain a minimum grade of 85% or better in the accelerated classes to continue gifted/accelerated services.

 

Supply List

One 3-5 subject notebook for the year (Five-Star are the most durable)
